Camping

The Tennison Bay campground is open; all others have closed for the season. Water systems have been shut down for the season, though a central drinking water supply is provided.

Campsite reservations are strongly recommended to obtain sites in Peninsula's five campgrounds from mid-May to October 15. Use the Web or phone (888) 947-2757, TTY (800) 274-7275 to reserve a site or check for cancellations for arrival dates 2 days to 11 months in advance.

Photos of some Peninsula campsites are available online.

Special Notice: To help prevent the devastating effects of the emerald ash borer and other wood-borne insects, no firewood may be transported into Peninsula or any other state park from more than 50 miles away or from quarantined areas. Many campers who were not aware of this restriction have had their firewood confiscated at the park entrance. You can buy firewood at the park wood yard. If you buy firewood within the 50-mile limit, be ready to show a receipt of purchase.
