Red Cedar State Trail ConditionsAs of Wednesday, December 31, 2008: We have received 3-5 inches of new snow since yesterday , and the Red Cedar Trail is in excellent condition. Track has been set and skiing conditions are great. This year volunteers are maintaining all ski trails at Hoffman Hills and Red Cedar Trail. Their hard work and dedication is the reason we have these great ski trails. Thank you for your co-operation. The trail from Downsville south to Highway County Y, is a multi-use trail. Hikers and snowshoes are welcome. Restrooms and water at the Downsville rest area are closed for the season . HuntingIn general, Red Cedar State Trail is closed to hunting. However, the trail is open to hunting in season in the Dunnville Wildlife Area, which is the last 2 miles on the south end of the trail. This is the section from County Highway Y south to the Chippewa River Trail. Road Conditions [exit DNR] For more information about the trail, ask: Red Cedar State Trail Last Revised:
